Tankers 2017 RTN Group excels in 2016 Another growth year for Morrow 2016 was an excellent year for the RTN Group, which saw an increase in sales in all its respective market sectors, with orders exceptionally strong for 2017. The uncertainty of Brexit has already had an impact on prices with materials and parts increasing between 8 and 15% due to currency fluctuations and annual increases. “Looking ahead we will continue to focus on being the market leader producing the highest quality road tankers in the industry,” said the RTN Group. The RTN Group also offers short and long term rigid tanker and semi-trailer hire at very competitive rates with a large selection of used tankers always available to view at www.rtnltd.co.uk. The RTN Group looks forward to welcoming visitors to stand 15 at FPS EXPO 2017 which takes place in Liverpool on 10-11 May. With both employee numbers and workshop space increasing, 2016 witnessed another growth year for Morrow Tanker Services. The number of tankers built increased last year and 2017 has already started well with orders coming in steadily. 2016 also saw a shift in demand back to tankers with a 13,000 litre capacity. In previous years with higher oil prices 7,000-10,000 litre tankers were the more requested size. “We believe this can be attributed to the fall in oil prices and the end of the small and minimum deliveries,” said Jonny Morrow. “We’re also proud to announce that we’ve recently received certification from the National Measurements Office. Our business is now approved for meter self-verification meaning we can calibrate and seal all tankers that we’re building and repairing.” www.morrowtankerservices.com An RTN build for Scottish distributor Johnston Oils which is in 7th place in the Fuel Oil News 2017 top 20 UK mainland fuel oil distributors list – see page 9 A Morrow Tanker Services build for Donaghmore Fuels, a family- owned business supplying fuel in Co Tyrone since 1997 A good year at Cobo (UK) Cobo (UK) enjoyed another good year in 2016 with repeat business from a number of existing, and clearly satisfied, customers. Several new and exciting business partnerships also contributed to this good year. However, the uncertainty caused by the Brexit vote and its affect upon the strength of the pound has meant that margins have been tight. “Prices must remain competitive with sales and service back-up being first rate,” said Terry Morgan. “Our well-established SA-FE range of tankers has been developed into the latest 030/031 three sections design which features our SKD chassis and reconfigured ‘swan neck’ section. “This design offers many advantages in terms of coupling safety, cargo pump access and maintenance & repair. “With the associated reduction in life-time operational costs, it demonstrates Cobo UK’s on-going commitment to producing high quality, innovative and technically advanced tankers for the petroleum industry.” High quality, innovative and technically advanced tankers from Cobo (UK) Fuel Oil News | February 2017 15
