Memorial Presbyterian Church
To find a plethora of history and one of the oldest,
most beautiful churches in the U.S., plan a trip
to St. Augustine, Florida, and arrange to worship
at the Memorial Presbyterian Church. Built in
1889 by business tycoon Henry Morrison Flagler
to honor the death of his daughter, the building is
composed of poured concrete mixed with crushed
coquina stone. Inspired by St. Mark’s Basilica
in Venice, Italy, the church was built in Second
Renaissance Revival style.
