OFTEN UN-BALANCED. THEREIN LIE OUR MOST DEFINING
MOMENTS. CHOOSE WISELY.” - FILOMENA ROSATI
WE’RE BACK! Finally, we’re enjoying the renewal of spring
and hopefully a soon to be summer! We have so much for you
to enjoy in this issue!
Life is full of choices and decisions waiting to happen. It is those
choices that shape who we are. From eating well, to living well, to
giving of our time, it’s up to us to make a difference for others and
ourselves. Our cover story personality, Leonardo DiCaprio is an actor
activist who came to receive his Oscar based on the choices he made.
What a great win for him and a much-awaited win at that! Aside from
his Oscar, Leo is a guy with a passion for all things environmental. He
loves the planet, and that my friends, is another choice he made. He is
a man of action, a man who walks the talk. Read the full story by our
new contributing writer, Tristan Bronca.
Summer is a time for enjoying the great outdoors. Relax and flip
through some great reads about beauty and health. Dr. Michael
Carozza shares some great tips on mind body medicine that you
don’t want to miss. With better weather around the corner, our lives
naturally tend to get busier. This is the time to be outdoors. Walk,
jog and exercise in your local park. We’ve provided several exercises for you in two fitness features, Parks n' Reps and Good-bye
Thunder Thighs. Choose wisely. Stress and fatigue can also lead to
depression and anxiety. Be sure to read our Spotlight piece addressing how we can better handle and understand mental health, in
hopes of better helping those in need.
On the lighter side, enjoy some recipes provided by Jamie Oliver and
Danielle Rose. Having a summer BBQ or festive dinner? Not sure if
you should serve Red or White wine this summer? What about both?
Rossana Magnotta tells you why in our expert feature, Wine Talk.

In this issue we travel with Francesca Spizzirri to Quito, Ecuador.
You’ll be surprised at what this hidden and not so travelled place offers. If you’re like the rest of us, you must be wondering what’s going
on with the real estate market in Vaughan. Crazy is an understatement. Will it settle, will it crash or will the value of homes keep rising?
Our real estate piece might give you the hint you’re looking for.
There is no better time to keep a close eye on your finances especially if you’re a young family planning for your child’s education.
Everyone knows post secondary education is an expensive undertaking. Without a proper plan in place, there is bound to be hardship
