OLD GUILDFORDIANS
Alfred (Frederick) Smith-Carter (Ha 19701973) is currently living in Perth working for
ATS Tecside doing fly in, fly out work in mining
throughout Australia. He has lived in the
north-western Pilbara town of Port Hedland for
over 40 years working for Goldsworthy Mining
Limited and BHP Billiton. His current status is
single and free with two children, son Michael
and daughter Roula, and three grandchildren.
Frederick is looking forward to retirement.
Jacqueline Feutrill (Prep 1979-1979) attended
the Preparatory School for one term in 1979, as
a boarder, when her parents went to Europe.
Also former students of the School from the
family are father Douglas Feutrill (St/Sc
1947-1951), and brothers Michael Feutrill (Sc
1984-1989), Brian Feutrill (Sc 1977-1981), and
Andrew Feutrill (Sc 1976-1978). Andrew left
the School in 1978 to attend the WA College of
Agriculture - Harvey.
Christopher Munn (Wb 1975-1979) is
happily in his 29th Year with the Department
of Foreign Affairs and Trade. He has had five
diplomatic postings in Jakarta, Honiara, Madrid,
Mexico, Pretoria as well as several deployments
in Nairobi. Christopher recommends a
similar career for internationally minded Old
Guildfordians.
Allison Hutton (nee Temple) (Prep 1976-1981)
works at Central Queensland University as the
Deputy Head of Program, Transport and Safety
Sciences. Allison recently supervised the Masters
Thesis for Nicholas Doncaster (Ha 19801984) and realised they shared the same school
heritage despite both living in different states
outside of Western Australia.
Shane Kelliher (Sc 1980-1981), along with
his family, has a passion for raising happy
and well-cared-for cattle. They have launched
Wandering Clover Fed Beef to create a brand to
give consumers a stronger connection to where
and how their food is produced. The Kellihers
believe the happier, healthier and the more
stress-free the animals are, the more profitable
they are.
Nicholas Doncaster (Ha 1980-1984)
graduated in 2015 with a Masters in Rail
Safety Management from Central Queensland
University. Amazingly his Master Thesis
Supervisor was Allison Hutton (nee Temple)
(Prep 1976-1981) and, despite both living in
different states outside of Western Australia,
they realised early on that they shared the same
school heritage.
Murray Grime (St 1979-1984) has been
selected to officiate as a Hockey Umpire at the
2016 Olympic Games. This will be Murray’s
fourth Olympic Games.
Donna Faragher (nee Taylor) (Prep 19801985), the East Metropolitan Member of the
Legislative Council, was the youngest Liberal
woman ever elected to the Western Australian
State Parliament. Donna was also the youngest
