OLD GUILDFORDIANS Simon Hall (Be 1993-1994) is currently living in the UK working as a senior lecturer in Mental Health Nursing, at the University of West of England, in the city of Bristol. He has been working in the NHS for a number of years working with young people and psychosis. He has not been back to Perth since 2006, but says he is due for a family and friends visit soon. Matthew McKail (Fr 1991-1994) has been a soldier, a baker, and now a fully qualified education support teacher at Success Primary School. He has promised his wife he’ll stay in the teaching game for a long time. He has been married to Kate for 8 years and they have a 2.5 year old son, a 13 year old foster daughter, and another son due in July. He enjoyed catching up with a couple of old classmates at the Careers Carousel recently, and wonders where 20 years have gone. He thinks they may be hiding under his bed. Robert Steuart (Sc 1995-2000), since leaving the School, has trained as a molecular biologist at Curtin University and has completed a PhD in molecular parasitology at Murdoch Uni. He has worked at Curtin for the past two years in a research support role. He was married in 2004 and is now living in Pickering Brook with his wife and three kids. Timothy McGregor (Sc 2000-2004) married Jemma Price on 27 April 2013 at the Lavender Farm in Chapman Valley. They are expecting their first child in February 2014. Michael Murabito (He 2003-2004), and his partner Tessa, were married in the School’s Chapel in April 2014. Ambrose Bonnaire-Sergeant (St 2003-2007) has been working on Typed Clojure, previously his student Honours project. He has received $35,000 in crowdfunding to continue working on it and was invited to present his work at the 9th Annual Emerging Technologies for the Enterprise Conference in Philadelphia (Philly ETE 2014) in April 2014. He is commencing a PhD in Computer Science at Indiana University (Bloomington) in September 2014. Eli Lawson (Fr 2002-2007) has qualified as a medical doctor and will spend the majority of 2014 working at Albany Regional Hospital. Clancee Pearce (Wb 2006-2007), and his partner Jess Samarelli, welcomed a baby girl (Memphis Rose) into the world on 15 January 2014. Mark Tonkin (Sc 2005-2009) is now a qualified instructor pilot at Southern Aviation Services. Cameron Fry (Be 1992-1995) Mason Anspach (Ha 2008-2012 is currently a second year automotive mechanic. Since leaving GGS he has moved to Moora, 200km from Perth, in pursuit of work. Philip Jefferies (SG 1940-1944) Matthew Duke (Fr-2008-2012), after immigrating to England, is studying accounting for his bachelor’s degree in Newbury, Berkshire. He plays competitive chess and conducts history research in his spare time. (Wife of Mick Patton (St/Sc 1955-1960)) David Taylor (Staff 2012-present), and partner Tala, have welcomed a beautiful baby girl to their family. She was born in November 2013 weighing 6 pounds 10 ounces.
