FROM THE HEADMASTER
professionally organised and presented
with pride. We recently welcomed many
visitors to our beautiful campus over one
weekend, firstly for the inaugural Excellence
in Classroom Teaching conference, which
was attended by over 100 delegates from
across WA, and secondly for the wonderful
Rugby 7s tournament. Director of Teaching
and Learning, Dr Julie Harris, had a vision
for presenting high quality and practical
professional development for teachers
and it was wonderful to see it come to
fruition, with our teaching staff running
the workshops. Staff and parent volunteers
contributed to another fantastic Rugby 7s
event, with the team of volunteers superbly
led by Deputy Head of Preparatory School,
Mr Roger Budler.
It was inspiring to have so many members
of the School community present and
a large contingent of Old Guildfordians
return to support the 1st XVIII Football
team as they added to the School’s history
by securing the PSA Football
Alcock Cup, for the first
time since 1958.
There was a wonderful atmosphere at
the School for the final winter sport 1st
teams fixture versus Wesley College. It
was inspiring to have so many members of
the School community present and a large
contingent of Old Guildfordians return to
support the 1st XVIII Football team as they
added to the School’s history by securing the
PSA Football Alcock Cup, for the first time
since 1958.
