could stop them . . . and he’d probably have to kill at
least one of them, seeing as how his opposite number is a psychopath who will stop at nothing to harm
innocents . . . In fact, going into the final act, doing
exactly that is what Zod explicitly says he will do
unless he is killed. Ipso facto, he has to freaking die.
