Commencing in Grade 7, instruction on how STDs are and are not transmitted, and the effectiveness of FDA approved methods of reducing risk of contracting STDs, including local resources for testing and treatment is addressed. (51933) 8. Commencing in Grade 7, instruction and materials shall provide pupils with skills for making and implementing responsible decisions about sexuality. (51933) 9. Instruction and materials may not teach or promote religious doctrine or bias against any person on the basis of any category protected by Sec. 22- of the Education Code. (51933) 10.
