MATTHEW D . KIRSCHENMANN SHEA THOMAS
JOHN ( JACK ) SCHUH
Matthew D . Kirschenmann is an associate with Anderson , Bottrell , Sanden & Thompson in Fargo . Kirschenmann is licensed to practice law in state and federal courts in North Dakota and focuses his practice in the areas of commercial and general civil litigation .
Kirschenmann grew up in Fargo , N . D ., and after graduating Fargo South High , attended North Dakota State University where he graduated with a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice and a minor in writing studies .
After receiving his undergraduate education , Kirschenmann attended the University of North Dakota School of Law where he was the symposium editor of the North Dakota Law Review . While in law school , he served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Shon Hastings , Bankruptcy Judge for the District of North Dakota . Kirschenmann also worked as a summer associate with Anderson & Bottrell . He earned his law degree in 2015 , graduating cum laude . Following law school , Kirschenmann completed a one-year judicial clerkship for the Honorable Lisa Fair McEvers of the North Dakota Supreme Court .
He actively volunteers in his community and is a member of the Cass County Bar Association , the Young Professionals Network , and the Inns of Court . In his free time , Kirschenmann enjoys playing broomball for the Fargo Warriors , running , cycling , golfing , hunting , and cheering on his beloved Bison .
Shea Thomas is an associate attorney with Ebeltoft Sickler Lawyers PLLC in Dickinson and works primarily in the firm ’ s Litigation Solutions and Alternatives to Litigation practice groups .
Prior to joining Ebeltoft Sickler Lawyers , Thomas served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Magistrate Charles S . Miller of the United States District Court for the District Court of North Dakota and as a law clerk in the state district court for the Southwest Judicial District of North Dakota . She incorporates the practical wisdom , insight , and procedural knowledge she gained as a judicial clerk to assist her clients in strategically and effectively navigating the litigation process .
Thomas is originally from Mandan , N . D ., and graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Dakota in 2010 , where she earned her bachelor of arts degree in psychology . She earned her juris doctor from William Mitchell College of Law in St . Paul , Minn ., in 2014 . While in law school , Thomas served as a certified student attorney with the Ramsey County Attorney ’ s Office and enjoyed volunteering with various organizations .
In her spare time , she enjoys trying as many new restaurants as possible , learning new recipes , and spending time with her family and friends . Her favorite time of the year is football season and she never misses a Green Bay Packers game .
John ( Jack ) Schuh is a staff attorney for the North Dakota Public Service Commission in Bismarck , where he began working in January 2015 .
Schuh grew up in Mandan , N . D . In 2008 , he graduated cum laude from the University of North Dakota , where he majored in business administration . Schuh earned his juris doctor , cum laude , from Ave Maria School of Law in Naples , Fla . While in law school , he was an associate editor of the Ave Maria Law Review , served as secretary of the Federalist Society , and interned with the Wright Law Firm in Cape Coral , Fla . After graduation , Schuh worked as an assistant regional counsel for the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel for the Second District of Florida in Fort Myers .
Schuh is licensed in North Dakota , Minnesota , and Florida . He is a member of SBAND and the Big Muddy Bar Association . In his free time , he is involved with the St . Vincent de Paul Society and enjoys traveling and staying active .
