False Beliefs Clouding
Your Vision?
By John Lysaught
Psalm 138:8 (ESV), “The Lord
will fulfill his purpose for me; your
steadfast love, O Lord, endures
forever. Do not forsake the work
of your hands.” Each one of us
was created in the image of God
(Genesis 1:27) and have a purpose in this world. Psalm 138:8
says He has a purpose for us. It
doesn’t say the purpose others
may want for us, but speaks to
us as individuals of His purpose
for us and, inside our heart, we
have a desire to do what the Lord
has put in us to do. Sometimes
we don’t recognize it as such or
we don’t believe it is feasible for
us to accomplish our purpose
but it is there. Sometimes we
get so caught up in this world,
the visions God has planted in
us can be muddied and blurred
to such an extent that we get
lost and seemingly can’t find our
way.
The big question a lot of us ask
is what is our purpose? What
is it God wants from us? Are
we doing His will now or are we
just doing empty and uninspired
