Matthew 5:45 says: “That ye
may be the children of your
Father which is in heaven: for
he maketh his sun to rise on
the evil and on the good, and
sendeth rain on the just and on
the unjust.” This meaning that
we are all subject to good days
and to bad days. We shall all be
blessed with blessings and we
shall all endure loss and suffering. No one is immune to dealing with issues of life and life is
not always on the mountain of
greatness. Sometimes we must
walk in the valley of the shadow
of death, but we should not fear.
We should not ask the questions;
“Why me Lord?” “What have I
done to deserve this?” “Why do
I have to go through this?”
In all things we should give God
praise and realize that He and
He alone has the power to save
us from our trials and work them
out for us.
We can, however, recognize
when suffering comes due to our
own actions. One knows when
they have done something or
said something that will bring
consequences. We know when
things aren’t right in our hearts
or lives that will reap a harvest of
trouble. We know when we bring
chastisement upon ourselves,
because the Spirit of God will
always remind you of the thing
that you have done, not done,
said, felt, or spoke against Him.
Conviction always precedes
chastisement, but even then we
should be thankful and praise
God that He loves us enough to
keep us in line.

without chastisement, whereof
all are partakers, then are ye
