Grayson | Reed is the talk of the town … so if you haven ’ t heard of them , you certainly will . They just released their first EP , and it ’ s something you don ’ t want to miss .
Centricity Music ’ s husband and wife duo emerges from a wellknown background in the music industry — they are composed of Mike Grayson , founder and frontman of Mikeschair and Molly Reed , previously from City Harbor and a distinguished songwriter for many artists including Francesca Battistelli , Danny Gokey , and more . Not only are they outstanding in their individual work , but together they are exceedingly remarkable . Their new EP , “ WALK ”, was just released on January 13th , and features six incredible songs .
In this interview with FFFM , Molly gives an inside look at the album , the songs , and how it all came together , as well as their journey into being married and in the same band .
You both are very familiar with the music industry , especially each coming from different bands . Tell us what it ’ s like being in a duo together … how is it different from when you were with the different bands ? We are LOVING being in a duo together . It has been a game changer ( and life changer ) for us both . Nothing beats being on stage together and being able to share our life with people . The fact that we don ’ t have to have any more late night FaceTime calls , while being miles away from one another , is awesome . We do miss our daughter , Grailey , terribly while we are on the road , but we know she is more than well taken care of being with our families .
Do you find that you have to have a work / life balance or is it all intertwined ? Well , we try to separate it at times , but we have found that it ’ s just not possible . Music is ingrained in both of us so deeply that we can ’ t help but talk about it . I will say that when we are at home with Grailey , it is easier to “ check out ” of the work life and
