Heaven Rejo One

Why does God love us so much ? Why did He send His Son to suffer and then die for us ? Why does He want us to live with Him forever in Heaven ? These are questions we may never fully understand until we see Him face to face . Then I believe everything that is cloudy and unsure down here , will suddenly become clear . Yet , God ’ s love is never ending and is perfect and provides us with an assurance unmatched with any other personal relationship we may have .

St . Augustine once said , “ God loves each of us as if there were only one of us .” This is very true . The parable Jesus told of the lost sheep is proof of this statement . In Luke 15 , Jesus paints a picture for us of how deep the Father ’ s love for us really is . The religious ones took notice of how the sinners wanted to be near to Jesus . Rather than be joyful and glad that sinners were coming to Christ , they decided to find fault .

“ What man of you , having a hundred sheep , if he loses one of them , does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness , and go after the one which is lost until he finds it ?” Luke 15:4

Luke 15:1-2 says , “ Then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Him to hear Him . And the Pharisees and scribes complained saying , ‘ this man receives sinners and eats with them .’”

We can be glad and joyful in our hearts that God does not merely see us as sinners . He doesn ’ t even just see us as sinners saved by grace , as people often think of themselves . Instead , He sees us as His own , His children . We
