FIVE WAYS TO RUN AN EFFECTIVE STAFF MEETING By Trudi Charest, RO Staff meetings when conducted properly can not only be effective but paramount to your overall business strategy. We often see management throwing together a last-minute agenda or, worse, running a meeting with no set discussion topics. Your staff are busy and they know it. They want their time used efficiently and productively and believe it or not they like staff meetings that are organized and well laid out. Employees like to be empowered with information so they can execute their jobs without having to constantly ask management for direction or approval. Staff meetings can also be an opportunity to motivate and congratulate the team or individuals who have gone above and beyond. Don’t just use your meeting time to list off items that need to be done or accomplished, but take the time to celebrate successes and send your team back to the frontline energized.
