t’s been just three months on the job for me as VP of Marketing at Garden
of Life® and I couldn’t be happier. The brand is everything a new marketing
executive could ask for: uncompromising on quality, committed to innovation,
supportive of all the right causes, compassionate for people (and pets),
collaborative, open and constantly exploring improvement.
This is going to be a blast!
Being new to the supplements industry, I immediately dove in deep
and read everything I could find in print, online, in-store and even on
the bathroom wall if it felt relevant. I’m sure you’re aware that there’s a ton
of excellent literature out there. As the team and I started to dissect our marketing
plans, Extraordinary Health™ magazine quickly became a priority topic.
We set an objective to utilize our magazine in a way that would offer our brand loyalists
transparency regarding our culture, relationships, philosophies, practices and creativity.
Of course there will be meaningful health- and nutrition-focused content to educate,
engage and entertain, but our goal is to provide it in ways that uniquely reward
you for being part of our family. By sharing in this way, we hope you’ll get to
know us even better.
In this edition, Extraordinary Health—Volume 22, we’re taking our first steps toward
evolution. Though several article concepts and formats may seem familiar, many new
features are sprinkled in. We’ve also enhanced the design and layout, reorganized the
pagination to reduce waste and have added some competitive fun in the form of contests
and games. After all, who doesn’t like to win free stuff?
Most importantly, we want you to feel part of our brand; hence, part of our family.
