Watch a recap video of activities in Dortmund.
The Get Online Week was for the first time
brought to Dortmund, a 600,000 inhabitants city
in Germany, by a group of 11 students and their
lecturer Dr. Bastian Pelka from Technical University
of Dortmund. They designed seven courses, each
addressing a different target group of digitally
excluded people (seniors, pupils, parents and people
with disabilities). In total 16 courses were delivered
during the campaign week. The campaign focus was
on people with disabilities.
In Hungary Foundation for Community Network
(ComNet) focused on involving and informing
people with presentations and a training. The
presentations dealt with different topics relevant for
unemployed, youth and colleagues of telecentres,
for example: how to find a job with the help
of social media, how to work eco-friendly and
effectively in offices, how an organisation can take
advantage of social networks or how to use our
smartphones cheaply and safely.
The presentations are available online.
Moreover, ComNet implemented a training session
called “Telecottage Katedra – Smartphones from the
choice to the administration”. The participants could
learn about choosing the perfect smartphone, first
usage of the device, mobile internet, and installing
applications.
