Volunteers with the U.S. Green
Building Council Louisiana Chapter’s Green Schools Team have been
working since the first of November to
inventory and organize the furniture
collected from the generous vendors
at the EDspaces Conference. The
pieces were assembled into “classrooms” to maximize the impact of the
donations. By grouping the items, the
schools were able to see transformative
changes in their learning environments. For instance the “Red Classroom” completely renovated an entire
classroom from the floor coverings
up! It included desks, chairs, bookcases, charging stations, collaborative
