28.0 CANCELLATIONS 28.1 The Culture and Leisure Trust reserves the right to refuse or cancel any Let. In circumstances where the Culture and Leisure Trust is obliged to cancel a Let, through no fault of the Hirer, notice will be given as early as possible and the Culture and Leisure Trust will refund to the Hirer any money paid in respect of the Let. No compensation will be paid by the Culture and Leisure Trust for any losses sustained by the Hirer in respect of any lost performances or events as a result of such a cancellation. 28.2 In the event that the Culture and Leisure Trust requires to cancel the Let due to the action or inaction of the Hirer, the Hirer will require to pay 100% of the fees payable in connection with the Let. 28.3 Should a Hirer wish to cancel a confirmed Let, he/she must give notice to the Culture and Leisure Trust in writing. 28.4 If notice is received at the Theatre more than 8 weeks (up to and including 56 days) prior to the scheduled commencement of the Let, no cancellation penalties will be owed by the Hirer. If notice is received less than 8 weeks prior to the scheduled commencement of the Let, cancellation fees will be payable to the Culture and Leisure Trust by the Hirer according to the following schedule: • • • 28.5 29.0 19 Written notice received at the Theatre less than 56 days prior to but more than 28 days prior to the scheduled commencement of the Let = 20% of the fees payable in connection with the Let Written notice received at the Theatre 28 days or less prior to, but more than 14 days prior to, the scheduled commencement of the Let = 40% of the fees payable in connection with the Let Written notice received at the Theatre 14 days or less prior to the scheduled commencement of the Let = 60% of the fees payable in connection with the Let Failure to provide any written notice of cancellation prior to the commencement of the Let will result in a charge of 100% of the fees payable in connection with the Let being levied against the Hirer. ADVERTISEMENTS 29.1 No advertisement of any nature whatsoever shall be exhibited on any scenery or property carried on or used in the production without prior authority being obtained from the Authorised Officer. 29.2 No posters, bills or flyers may be placed on notice boards within the Facility without the prior consent of the Authorised Officer. 29.3 The Hirer shall not advertise the performance or event by unauthorised display of posters or bills. In particular, these should not be attached to or displayed on lampposts or other street furniture or posted on car windshields. The Culture and Leisure Trust reserves the right to levy a charge against the Hirer for the removal and disposal of any such items. 29.4 Publicity for your event can be arranged via Eastwood Park Theatre through distribution of flyers and posters and displays on East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure Trust’s ALL plasma screens. All printed material must be provided by the Hirer: flyers should be in A5 portrait format and posters should be in either A4 or A3 portrait format. All print should be full colour. The Hirer must also provide a suitable high-resolution image in jpeg format for the plasma screens and the theatre website. All promotional material should be provided at least 6 weeks prior to the event.
