the Let of that space, the Hirer will be given the opportunity to either:
• arrange for the removal of his/her property at a time agreed with the Authorised Officer, or
• agree to pay for the time requested by the other Hirer.

5.6 A refundable deposit against damage or additional cleaning requirements will be required from Hirers
for all Lets. The amount of the deposit will be specified in the Schedule of Fees and Charges current
at the time of the Let. Deposits must be paid at the Production Meeting, if applicable, but in any event
not less than 28 days prior to the commencement of the Let.
5.7 There will be supplementary hire charges for equipment such as projectors, hazers, smoke machines,
dance floor and staging and an additional charge for the excessive use of consumables such as
batteries, tape, lights, etc
5.8 If you have not made prior arrangements with PRS, or if you are not paying royalties directly to
another copyright holder, we reserve the right to charge you for any additional royalties due.
INSURANCE

The Hirer shall effect and maintain adequate insurance:
(a) against fire and all other risks covering all property which he/she may bring into the Theatre
whether such property is his/her own or that for which he/she is responsible;
(b) covering his/her liability, statutory and at Common Law, in respect of his employees and
members of his company or organisation.
6.2 As part of the fees payable for a Let, the Culture and Leisure Trust will provide public liability
insurance, including insurance for death or injury to persons within the Theatre during the period
of Let, subject to an indemnity limit of £5 million. The Culture and Leisure Trust may, in certain
circumstances and at its sole discretion, require the Hirer to arrange additional insurance cover. If
such additional insurance cover is required, the Hirer will be advised.
6.3 Proof of insurance cover in conformity with these provisions shall be exhibited to the Authorised
Officer, not less than 28 days prior to the commencement of the Let. Failure to exhibit proof of
such insurance may result in the cancellation of the Let at the sole discretion of the Culture and
Leisure Trust. In such circumstances the Hirer will remain fully liable for the fees payable for the
Let, regardless of the fact that the Let has been cancelled. The Culture and Leisure Trust will not be
responsible for any costs or losses which are incurred by the Hirer as a result of such cancellation.
COPYRIGHT
7.1 The Hirer shall indemnify the Culture and Leisure Trust against all claims for damages or penalties for
infringement of copyright and any expenses occasioned in connection therewith.
7.2 The Hirer shall comply with all Performing Rights Society Regulations and Guidelines. The Hirer
shall pay and shall indemnify the Culture and Leisure Trust from and against all fees and royalties
due in connection with the production, whether on the stage or in the orchestra in relation to anything
spoken, sung or played under the direction of the Hirer whether same are payable directly to authors,
composers, publishers or others or are payable in the form of a levy upon the Culture and Leisure
Trust by the Performing Rights Society additional to the annual licence for the time being paid by the
Culture and Leisure Trust to the Performing Right Society in respect of the Theatre.
