"Four years ago, on this very stage, I discovered something about myself that I wouldn't have discovered otherwise. I discovered that I am, and forever will be, extremely persistent. I competed year after year not knowing what to do to win the title of Miss Ohio Teen USA, until about a year ago when someone very wise told me to "just be Emma." Ever since the day I heard those three words, I've done just that. It made me realize that being myself is the true meaning of being "Confidently Beautiful" , and I wouldn't have made it to where I am today without some amazing people."
