March 18, 2016 C UPCOMING MEETINGS CELEBRATES OPENING OF NEW OSO CREEK TRAIL ITY Under clear blue skies and the warm California sun, residents and business leaders joined elected officials on March 3, to celebrate the opening of the City’s newest trail - Oso Creek Trail. The awardwinning 0.7 mile trail runs alongside Oso Creek and offers local pedestrian and bikeway access from the new Mar. 22 Military Support Committee Mtg. Mar. 30 Investment, Banking & Audit Comm. Mtg. Mar. 22 Planning Commission Mtg. Apr. 5 City Council Mtg. Mar. 23 Traffic Commission Mtg. Apr. 7 Youth Committee Mtg. residential complexes in the Gateway area to the Laguna Niguel Metrolink Station. “The Oso Creek Trail is such a great addition to our trail system and a wonderful amenity for new residents moving into the Gateway area,” said Mayor Laurie Davies. The trail creates new community green and recreational space alongside the creek channel, and reduces the area’s carbon footprint by encouraging walking, biking and mass transit ridership.
