Chassis Engineering’s completely re-designed a-arm front end is
virtually strong enough for any high performance application. Yet,
this design remains extremely lightweight. The product of years of
drag racing and high performance experience has come together
to produce a kit that provides a positive way to tie lighter weight
components to an existing chassis.
Chassis Engineering’s strut front end features Strange Engineering
struts, the simplest, lightest and most desired front suspension in
racing. Reduce front end weight, (up to 400 lbs. in some cases),
dramatically improve tuneability and open up your engine
compartment for steering, headers, and maintenance.

Complete Steering Column Kit
One of the most complete steering column kits available. Designed to mount easily in virtually any
chassis, these kits include: column tube, self-lubricating bushings, weld-on u-joint,
Pinto splined adapter and braces to securely mount the column. The kits also include
one of our 3-bolt quick disconnect steering hubs (not SFI approved) at no extra charge.

Properly mounting a set of McPherson struts can be diffi cult to do
correctly without some kind of jig to hold everything in
place. Our Strut Mount Jig will allow you to properly position
and hold your struts in place while you install your mounting brackets.

71-72 Pinto Billet Rack Mounts

Strange Engineering Mcpherson strut packages are designed specifi cally
for drag racing. They are sold complete including disc brakes and chromoly
lower control arms and are available in either stud or eye mount. Medium
duty kits feature 2 piston aluminum calipers and are recommended for
cars under 2600 lbs. Heavy duty kits feature 4 piston aluminum calipers
and are recommended for cars over 2600 lbs.

Quick Release Steering Hubs
Quick release steering hubs are required in most tube frame cars and are a great addition to
any racing vehicle. Being able to quickly remove the steering wheel offers a number of obvious
safety and convenience benefi ts. Our steering hubs release with the push of a button, accepts
most popular steering wheels and and works with any 3/4” tubular column.

Steering U-Joints
These small, high quality U-joints are just what you need when routing steering
shafts around headers, engine and frame. They are bored 3/4” on both ends or
with one end splined for a Pinto rack, and are secured with a set screw. These little
jewels will get you around the tight spots. We also have high quality aircraft joints.
