Recently crowned 2016 NHRA Heritage Series Nitro Funny Car champion Kris Krabill heats up the Goodyear slicks on Bucky Austin and Mike O ’ Brien ’ s “ Northwest Hitter ” 1978 Firebird flopper en route to a runner-up finish at the California Hot Rod Reunion . With Austin making the tuning calls , Krabill reached the winner ’ s circle at the legendary Good Vibrations March Meet at Bakersfield and the 46th annual NAPA Igniter at Iowa ’ s Firebird Raceway , easily clinching the season title before even rolling through the gates at the season-ending CHRR event .
