SEEKING TRACTION
The nitrous-assisted 1970 Camaro of Wichita , Kansas ’ Chris Stateler struggles to get a grip on the unprepped racing surface at the second running of Outlaw Armageddon , the “ World Series of No Prep ”. Stateler was competing in the $ 20,000-to-win Small Tire class at the event , which uses flashlight starts and relies on event officials to determine races at the finish line , replicating the no-frills aspects of street racing in an environment that is safer for racers and spectators .
