CIDER INSPIRED WEDDING?
Cybel’s Vintage Hire are based in Tavistock, and offer event styling services and venue décor throughout Somerset, Devon and Cornwall. They recently styled a wedding that took place on 10th August 2013, for the lovely Lee and Leanne.
The bride had approached Zoe-Ann, who co-owns the business, about her vintage cider themed wedding, and she jumped at the chance to get involved. Zoe-Ann began researching the history of cider and the stoneware jugs and tankards that were used in years gone by. She considered crates and baskets, imagined old farmhouses with rusty scales and lamps worn by weather and time. Sourcing items for your wedding day can be great fun if you look in the right places; Zoe-Ann visited car boot sales, charity shops, recycling centres and called upon family friends to help too. Zoe-Ann says, “As I’m based on Dartmoor, nature is all around. It’s such a joy to see the changes and rustic feel of the seasons. I loved walking in the woods and picking up furry moss, broken bits of bark, and gorgeous smelling pine branches, and stumps which made the stands. I always use trees and bark which have been cut on the floor, and the moss I put back into the garden to regrow.
