Faithful Designs is a wedding styling and
event company, based in Plymouth, run by
Danielle Donnelly. Danielle joins us for her
regular column, and this time she tells us
about a surprise wedding she recently organised
The wedding industry can be a seriously tough place
to find and make some genuine friends, especially if
you’re a newbie. I’m still quite new to the industry in comparison
to some and although the past five years have been an emotional
and financial roller coaster, I honestly love what I do and hope to
continue doing it for a long time to come.
Thankfully I know who I am, what I like and the people I want
to work alongside. So, when it came to helping my friend Sarah
organise a surprise wedding for a special friend who had
recently been through an awful time and life changing surgery, I
knew exactly who to call on.
PHOTOS:
Amber is a relatively new
wedding friend and although
she hasn’t been in the business
long, her work is exceptional.
She has a lovely style and
positive attitude. I was so
thrilled when she agreed to
help, even though she was
already booked for two other
weddings that weekend!
I think Liberty Pearl has a
promising future ahead.
FLOWERS:
I’ve known Sharon for a few
years now and I honestly
cannot praise her highly
enough. Not only are her floral
arrangements breathtaking,
she is one of the sweetest
ladies I know. With no
hesitation whatsoever when I
told her what we were doing,
she was straight on board.
VENUE:
Tavistock Town Hall is a
beautiful premier civil
ceremony and reception
venue without a huge price
tag. The building can be hired
exclusively for as little as £330,
which is absolutely crazy! I’ve
dressed several weddings
there now and the staff are
always so helpful and friendly.

HELP & ADVICE:
We all need someone to
bounce ideas off and the
Editor of Dotty Magazine is
often my first port of call for
my crazy ideas! Laura is always
so helpful, and this time was
no different, and straight away
offered advertising space to
the suppliers who agreed to
get involved, as a way to say
‘thank you’. With the generous
offer of advertising, it got the
ball rolling!

After 9 months of planning with the help from Natasha and Steve’s
family, and a handful of seriously generous and talented people, we
managed to pull off an amazing day. On 26th September 2014 two
special people finally became Mr and Mrs Brown.
Thank you from the bottom of
my heart to everyone involved
in making it happen xx
