Westward and Little Gull Grocery is a nautical haven on South Lake
Union that stays busy – especially during the summer. The beachfront
property includes a communal fire pit for those cool nights on the
coast and oversized wooden beach chairs line the shore each with an
unequivocally sweeping view of Seattle in all her summertime glory.
Inside the open air dining room, patrons can sip rose on boat-seat style
bar stools while the bearded men at Little Gull Grocery shuck halfpriced fresh local oysters for the midday menu. Details like dock rungs
and repurposed sails won’t go unnoticed as intricate contributions

to this maritime escape. Indulge with a menu laden in sea-inspired
and Mediterranean focused fare like the Grilled Halloumi Panzanella,
created by named Food & Wine’s Best New Chef of 2015, Executive Chef
Zoi Antonitsas. After dinner, take a nightcap outside and bask is the
warm evening breeze off the water. When you tie up at Westward, be
prepared to explore exceptional flavors, quality ingredients, and the
depth of how gorgeous life in Seattle can really be.
