WE

CARE AND COOPERATE

WE CARE
What we do today affects our tomorrow and our whole future . Therefore , we make sure to always take responsibility for everything we do . Be it in terms of environmental thinking or in working conditions . This way , we hope to make our customers even more satisfied with us and our products .
CODE OF CONDUCT
Our membership in the Fair Labor Association involves a code of conduct which covers a series of obligations in a wide variety of areas : Prohibition of child labor • Prohibition of forced labor • Prohibition of discrimination • Reasonable salaries and working hours
• Good working environment and safety • Organization Law and the right to labor union membership • Laws and regulations , such as certificates that bribery does not occur • Environmental issues
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Environmental care is always on our mind and we aim to take responsibility from beginning to end . This means that we make demands when it comes to : Chemical Restrictions • Reduced emissions of virgin raw materials , non-natural waste and air emissions
• Reduced energy consumption and consumption of fresh water
• Reduced water , electricity and paper consumption • Collection of hazardous waste .
CLEAN SHIPPING – CLEANER AND HEALTHIER TRANSPORT
Intensive efforts have been made in the industrial world to reduce emissions in air and water . Unfortunately , in the maritime transport development has rather gone in the opposite direction with large , environmentally harmful emissions . To counter this , Clean Shipping Project was initiated – a cooperation between local municipalities , counties and Business Region Sweden . The project aims at exerting pressure on shipping companies for cleaner ships . Shipping companies are required to provide detailed environmental information which is assembled in a Clean Shipping Index . The Index further plays a vital role in assessing and negotiating transport contracts . Since we already are actively reducing aviation transportation and coordinating our maritime transports , it was a natural choice for us to become a member of the Clean Shipping Project .
SAFE TEXTILE
Oeko-Tex Standard 100 was developed in the early 1990s when most textiles still contained negative and hazardous chemicals . Today it is the world ’ s leading human ecological label for textiles tested for harmful substances . Goods certified with this label have been produced considering human ecology and have also been tested and certified by internationally recognized textile institutes . Already today , several of our products are labeled as Oeko-Tex and our goal is that all our textile eventually will have this symbol .
FOLLOW-UP AND CONTROL
Our goal is to inspect all our suppliers four times a year . Most often inspections occur non-scheduled to easier detect possible violations .
RESPONSIBLITY IN PRODUCTION
We cooperate with several suppliers and employ a very large number of people . Work is fundamental to combat poverty , but at the same time , laws and regulations in production countries may not be as developed as in the Western world . Therefore , we seek our own ways to ensure this by requiring our suppliers to sign a contract that mandates humane working conditions for their employees .
BSCI ( BUSINESS SOCIAL COMPLIANCE INITIATIVE )
BSCI is an initiative for businesses that strive actively to improve working conditions in the global supply chain . The code of conduct sets specific requirements for member suppliers , regarding for example wages , banning child labor , forced labor and discrimination .
THE GREEN DOT
We are proud that all our products are trademarked by The Green Dot . This international symbol is proof that the packaging of a product is part of an approved recycling system . We report continuously our consumption to Naturvårdsverket - The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency .
