orporate historians tell us that few companies survive more than 100 years, so without
a doubt, DIXON Ticonderoga is proud of its over 220 year history and tradition. Dixon
was founded in 1795 during the second term of our first President, George Washington. Two
of our company founders, Louis Prang and Joseph Dixon, greatly contributed to the history
of the United States.
Today, Dixon is the leader in premium-grade wood case pencils and one of the leading
providers of wood-case graphite pencils.
