DivKid's Month Of Modular Issue #6 March 2016 | Page 2

Hello and happy March . . . if that’s such a thing? There’s pretty much just one thing on my mind Superbooth, Superbooth, SUPERBOOTH! I’m so excited to be going to Superbooth and grabbing lots of interviews and event footage for my YouTube channel. Unfortunately I won’t have internet access and video editing access so no videos online during the event but I will be bringing plenty of footage back to edit after the event. So watch out for those videos. Next month I’ll go through a run down of the new gear on show. Remember everything UNDERLINED is a link. So click away!

As always I like to share a “module of the month” that’s not something new and hyped up but something really useful that I’ve been using a lot this month. That module for me this month is the VERT from Mystic Circuits. I’ve kept it fairly simple clocking it alongside my synth lines and mixing various CV sources into it to fire out all sorts of relatable clockable rhythms. As usual here’s a

video from me, click HERE, watch below and also watch the

Voltage Control Lab video

below too, it's great!

It’s nice to share, my first school had a saying (printed on our jumpers) “Blakehill first school, we learn to share”. I’m sure it rarely bred kind sharing people judging by some of my old school friends but on that note here’s a few things that caught my attention this month that I’d like to share. Here’s a presentation at Control Voltage from Tony at Make Noise. He’s presenting patch techniques used by the artists on the Make Noise Shared System Series. In this video he’s breaking down Richard Devine’s patch ideas. Click the underlined bits for links!

Dcramer, master patcher / modular video maker

(as I like to think of him) has graced us with a new

video this time creating shuffle clocks and beats

as well as a naked bass solo. Check it out here in

the embedded YouTube player or by clicking

HERE for the video and click HERE for the Muff

Wiggler thread about the video.
