DivKid's Month Of Modular Issue #10 July 2016 | Page 3

Bit of a quiet one from me as I've been away with various things this month so I haven't kept up with some things. However ... there's still some news :) .

Audio Damage has launched production on their new module 'Proton'. You may remember me speaking to Chris Randall of Audio Damage at Superbooth in this video CLICK HERE, and we had a jam on it HERE. Proton is a tuned delay line in a module capable of karplus strong synthesis sounds. You can use the Proton like a tuned delay line / resonator by using the input or hit the trigger to send a burst of noise through the delays. There's an added sub, dampening, decay and impulse filter and decay. There's the choke circuit and manual buttons like the Neuron module too. Chris Randall spoke to Sonic State about Karplus Strong Synthesis which you can watch in this video CLICK HERE.

Industrial Music Electronics (aka. The Harvestman) has updated the Stillson Hammer mkII with plenty of bug fixes and feature updates coming in new firmware. The following quotes was posted on the Industrial Music Electronics Facebook page - "Another Stillson Hammer firmware update imminent. v1.666 will be released this week and includes the long-awaited clock programming features: functional BPM meter, and a reconfiguration of the controls so that the encoder controls coarse tempo adjustment and the large clock knob is its fine tune (wide-range control is still possible by using the CV input)."

New case company '01synth' have released their new 6U eurorack case mixing bamboo and aluminium which is all (bar the rails and power) manufactured and designed by the company. Like the Audio Damage Proton with got a teaser of this one from Audio Damage at Superbooth with their demo system in one of these 6U cases. There's a Muff Wiggler thread HERE where they've offering 10 cases on pre-order before a dealer run which also has plenty of pics to drool over.
