Lix’s What are you looking forward to this November? It’s my birthday! Actually, I always end up crying on my birthday. It’s a tradition at this point. My family hasn’t been able to afford presents in ages, either. But it’s still exciting that it’s my birthday, even if it’s all leftover excitement. It’s nice to count down to it, to have an excuse to make wishlists and hope really hard. My other favorite thing about November is NaNoWriMo, which is weird because I haven’t done it in two years and lost four times before that. (Won my first year! But never completed the story. Won mininanowrimo a later year, at a 300 words a day quota, and completed a novel-length Pretty Little Liars fanfic.) But there’s something so cozy about this project, movement, whatever you want to call it — all these people writing their hearts out, or crafting their hearts out, everyone in it together. It’s exceptionally motivational and comforting and it makes you feel less alone while still being able to be as antisocial as you like. It’s awesome. Mind Instagram or Twitter?
