Lunch/Breakfast
All Teaneck children may eat lunch in school. In addition,
breakfast is available at all schools. The Board of Education
has retained Maschio’s as its food service management company.
Teaneck participates in the National Lunch Program
through which children may purchase low-cost lunches,
breakfast and milk, and may be eligible for free or reducedprice meals. A la carte offerings or a balanced, complete
meal are available at lunch and breakfast. Students eligible
for free/reduced-price lunch qualify for free/reduced-price
breakfast. Applications for free/reduced-price meals are
sent home with children on the first day of school and must
be returned by September 13th. If you do not receive an
application, please call the school your child attends. Children who were receiving free/reduced lunch/breakfast as of
June 2016 will continue to receive free/reduced-price lunch/
breakfast through the month of September only. A new
application must be filled out in order for them to continue
receiving their free/reduced lunch/breakfast after October
1st. If a new application is not filled out by October 1st, the
free/reduced benefits will be terminated.
We will continue to offer the Online Meal Prepayment System, which is an easy and secure online prepayment service
where parents can deposit money into their child’s school
meal account, view their account balance, and check their
eating history report. The link is:
