Lunch/Breakfast All Teaneck children may eat lunch in school. In addition, breakfast is available at all schools. The Board of Education has retained Maschio’s as its food service management company. Teaneck participates in the National Lunch Program through which children may purchase low-cost lunches, breakfast and milk, and may be eligible for free or reducedprice meals. A la carte offerings or a balanced, complete meal are available at lunch and breakfast. Students eligible for free/reduced-price lunch qualify for free/reduced-price breakfast. Applications for free/reduced-price meals are sent home with children on the first day of school and must be returned by September 13th. If you do not receive an application, please call the school your child attends. Children who were receiving free/reduced lunch/breakfast as of June 2016 will continue to receive free/reduced-price lunch/ breakfast through the month of September only. A new application must be filled out in order for them to continue receiving their free/reduced lunch/breakfast after October 1st. If a new application is not filled out by October 1st, the free/reduced benefits will be terminated.
