Sherwood Park’s Heritage Mile

Stroll, walk, jog, bicycle or drive “the Mile” to
re-live rural Strathcona County in the early
20th century – long before Sherwood Park.
Smeltzer House, A.J. Ottewell Centre,
Monument Park, the Lendrum Sisters statue
and more.

Tour “The Mile” starting at Broadmoor Boulevard at the
Smeltzer House Interpretive Display and proceed north to

Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village

The Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village is an award-winning,
open-air museum that depicts the history of east central
Alberta by telling the story of Ukrainian immigrants who
settled in this region to 1930 (1892-1930). Over thirty
historic structures have been relocated to the museum,
restored and furnished to a pre-1930 period, then staffed by
costumed role-players who re-enact the historic routines and
activities associated with that household, institution or business.

Broadmoor Lake Park & Festival Place

In the heart of Sherwood Park you’ll find the beautiful, 27 acre, Broadmoor
Lake Park where you can beat the summer heat at the brand new spray
park and playground. Also nestled in the park is cultural hub, Festival
Place. This 500 seat performance theatre features over 100
different shows every year.

Heritage Parkway Trail System

These trails consist of over 100 kilometres of paved trails located in and
around Sherwood Park. Residents can cycle, roll, walk or in-line skate along the
