DBM: What has beading brought to you life?
ED: Besides it being the perfect way to relax after
work, beading has had lovely side effects for me.
I’ve met a lot of nice people during the years,
gained new friends locally and internationally. I was
invited to pubish in magazines and books. I have a
permanent two-page column in a magazine, where
I publish a small project in every issue - the latest
was my 70th tutorial for them. My designs were
published in several books’ gallery sections too.
I’m a proud member of the Beadsmith Designer
Squad. It is a fantastic opportunity to design
together with the best designers, exchange ideas,
challenge, motivate, support each other while
playing with the newest beads!
I’ve been in the Battle Of The
Beadsmith competition since
I was invited to enter in 2012.

I’ve been teaching since 2003. Now I have my regular classes in
a nice shop in Budapest (gyongysziget.hu). And I receive more
and more invitations to teach abroad too at events and in shops.
I love these trips, as I can meet my online bead friends!
DBM: And do you continue to learn as you teach and as you
create? Is the learning process a never-ending journey for
you?
ED: Of course! Teaching is the best way to improve! You learn to
see things from others’ perspective and it helps me make better
tutorials. And we inspire eachother, they gave me a lot of good
ideas I can incorporate into my jewellery.
