sportsman’s club, Chamber of Commerce
and ExploreAlex organizations. They donate
thousands of dollars each year to stock area
lakes with walleye fry.
“The more people we have coming here
spending money in the area, these groups will
continue to stock more fish,” Scegura said.

Due to having so many bodies of water in
the Alexandria area there are a lot of homes
available for sale or rent. The many resorts have
hung in there because property values stayed
low enough and the industry has spiked.
