Consort Claudgen Introduces
Smart Commercial Fan Heaters!
even when initially
powered on in a
very cold room, for
the user’s comfort.
Consort Claudgen has
introduced an improved
range of commercial fan
heaters to its extensive
portfolio of products. Each
robustly designed heater
is now equipped with
intelligent fan control which
detects the temperature
in the environment and
automatically adjusts its fan
speed to quickly achieve a
warm airflow temperature.
This allows the heater to
immediately blow hot air,
Enhanced with
one of the latest
low energy
consumption EC
motors, these
smart heaters
also operate on
a lower noise
level compared to their
predecessors. They are
available in 6kW to 15kW
rating with a heat throw of
up to 11 meters. All models
come complete with a multi
directional wall bracket and
a remote switch, which can
control multiple heaters.

196 Deansgate, Manchester Adopts
Under Floor Air Conditioning
AET Flexible Space, leading provider of
under floor air conditioning systems, is
proud to have been part of the phased
refurbishment of the historic building at
196 Deansgate in Manchester.
Situated in the city centre on what is
probably Manchester’s best known
streets with close proximity to
Spinningfields, the architecturally
stunning building has a Grade II listed
façade and has attracted significant
interest by potential tenants to the
48,000 sq. ft. Grade A office space.
The refurbishment required a
fundamental rethink to transform the
building in decline, into a modern
sought after commercial space.
Buttress architects managed to revamp
the space by removing one of the lifts
and creating a visible reception area as
well as implementing a new services
strategy.

This rethink of services utilises the
plenum beneath a raised access floor
as the ventilation duct to distribute
conditioned air, subsequently introduced
into the space using fan terminals. This
method of underfloor air distribution
eliminates the need for ceiling based
ductwork and therefore allows the
ceilings to be exposed and specific
architectural features to be retained.
AET originally supplied their unique
under floor air conditioning equipment
during a partial refurbishment of
the upper floors in 2008. In 2016,
developer Commercial Estates Group
invested £2.3 million into the refurb of
the reception, first and second floors
and recently they secured a five year
lease for 4,650 sq. ft. on the fourth floor
for Marketing Communications Agency,
McCann Manchester. CEG hosted an
official building launch in early October.
