Koster Long Lasting TPO Roofing
Now in the UK
Koster are now selling TPO single
ply roofing membranes under the
Koster brand name, having previously
manufactured exclusively for another
well know brand. With decades of
manufacturing experience Koster have
developed a product that is long lasting
and guaranteed for up to 25 years, as well
as being environmentally friendly and
plasticiser free.
Koster TPO single ply roofing
membranes are flexible and easy to
work with, ensuring a quick and reliable
application. The products are resistant
to UV rays and high mechanical stress:
the crack bridging ability withstanding
temperature induced movement.
The flexible TPO membranes are
mechanically fixed, fully bonded or
ballasted and in each case the seams
are hot air welded (the thermoplastic
characteristics of the membrane create an
inseparable, durable and homogeneous
overlap).
Koster laboratories in Germany
recently tested a 14 year old piece of
the TPO membrane recovered from a
deconstructed roof. The results proved
to be extremely impressive: after 14
years of service the product showed no
surface deterioration and the old material
was still within specification. A weld
test between the old and new TPO,
resulted in a perfect weld. Nigel Day
MD of Koster Aquatecnic said, “We are
very proud of these test results as they
demonstrate that after a time period when
many roofing systems are starting to fail,
Koster TPO is unscathed and looking
good for many more years of trouble free
service.”

ecological and economic reality for

free of PVC and plasticiser; contain no
harmful halogens, are non-toxic in water
and can be continually recycled.
