Each of us depends on clean water daily but we rarely consider what it takes to keep our water clean and healthy . Therefore , protecting and improving water quality is a strategic focus for Delaware Nature Society , flowing through our conservation , education and advocacy work . From a large urban river to a tidal saltmarsh , our sites and protected lands feature varied aquatic habitats that support unique and diverse wildlife and plants . Join us to learn about the importance of water to our everyday life and how you can become a Water Warrior !

Join us at the steps of Delaware ’ s Capital and celebrate efforts for Clean Water across the state ! Registrants will receive a FREE T-shirt and lunch . After lunch , you will have the opportunity to discuss the importance of Clean Water with your Senator and Representative . * Legislative Meetings are optional and will be set up for you .

Volunteers are needed to support clean-ups throughout the valley . Meet at Ashland Nature Center to receive your assignment . Gloves , vests , trash bags , and refreshments will be provided .
