The class will start out learning the basic left and right turns in Country Swing and end up tying yourself in knots doing one of the Pretzel moves! Sign up as a single, with a partner or bring some friends! You’ll have a swingin’ good time!

Dance
Learn the basics of ballroom dancing and lead/follow technique (the secret to dancing with a partner). Sign up as a single or bring a partner and some friends. You’ll have a great time!
Jitterbug/East Coast Swing
Jitterbug uses a single time step and is done to faster music like Rock Around the Clock, In the Mood, and Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. Class will cover the basic steps and left and right turns in one or both of these styles depending on class time and students’ wishes.
Pricing per block: $25 for one class, $45 for two classes, $65 for all three.

WITH DON THE DANCEMAN
Don Schmauch has been teaching dance for over 25 years at colleges, recreation centers, churches, dance schools and studios. Don’s great sense of humor makes the learning of dance relaxing and fun. His experience with all types and ages of people allows him to understand each students’ particular need and arrive at an easy fix that gets you back in step and feeling confident and comfortable with your partner. Don teaches three levels of beginning classes, each with different sets of dance steps. All classes held at the Lander Firehall upstairs room, 430 Garfield St.
