Green Infrastructure Helps Us Manage Stormwater
We are excited to announce the opening
of the Mission & Valencia Streets Green
Gateway (MVGG). This plaza uses rain
gardens to help reduce stormwater
runoff entering the sewer system, and
sidewalk bulb outs to improve the safety
and comfort of the area. The project also
includes San Francisco’s first raised,
parking protected cycle track to enhance
safety for bicyclists. MVGG is a
partnership of the SFPUC, City Planning,
Public Works, and SFMTA. To learn more
