The Pedorthic Footcare Association ( PFA ) offers Continuing Education Points ( CEPs ), approved by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics , Prosthetics & Pedorthics , Inc . ( ABC ) and the Board of Certification / Accreditation ( BOC ), via specially designated articles within Current Pedorthics magazine .
The importance of the cuboid and his relationship to proper foot function has , like everything else , come full circle . My father , Dr . Frank Hoffmeister , practiced Podiatry for better than 55 years and with whom I shared 20 of those years and Dr . Allyn Peelen who has shared his techniques and treatments , understood the importance of rear foot / cuboid in proper foot function . In their day , it was called dynamic balance therapy , today it is described as biomechanics . Regardless of the terminology , ( although I believe the former to be more accurate ) we can all agree on the importance of proper alignment relative to function .
