Bulgaria start-up Kolelinia – founded by architects Martin Angelov and Mihail Klenov – introduce the Halfbike II, a stand-up vehicle that stimulates your natural instinct to move. When designing the vehicle, they took the fundamental driving mechanism of a classic bicycle (a wheel connected to a crank set) and then basically redesigned the s*** out everything else! The result? ‘A vehicle that trains your balance and reflexes in a different way. Not only on a physical level but it also affects the way you perceive movement and enhances your senses.’ (Kolelinia) Sporting three wheels, the Halfbike comes in at just over 1 metre long and 1 metre high, weighs 8.2 kg, can be folded in half, and has an aluminium frame with handlebars made from treated plywood. This new ride is available now for purchase on Kickstarter – the global crowdfunding platform that Kolelinia used to raise funds and bring their idea to life – while shipping begins in July on a first-come, firstserve basis.
