Nava Thompson - Arkansas Nava Thompson is a self-taught fine art photographer from Arkansas. Arkansas is a photographer's dream full of natural beauty! There's so much color, variety and fun in exploring nature and wildlife. It is an adventure to hunt for the magic moments that might be c aptured with a camera--- to be shared with others. I was told to always have my camera with me. I have learned that those 'one time' shots are just that. Some of those wonderful scenes are saved only in my memory-I am more aware of God's paintbrush as I work with close-up shots of birds in action, butterflies on flowers, and deer in the wild. I think the Whitetail deer are some of the most beautiful animals in the world. They are outstandingly photogenic. My dream is to continue to explore---chasing the rainbows and sunsets while searching for something new and exciting. http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/nava-jo-thompson.html Here is my piece. It is called Little Whitetail Fawn in Arkansas Little Whitetail Fawn in Arkansas Whitetail fawns are so beautiful and playful. I see them skipping over tall grass playing together just like little children. This photo was made at Pea Ridge National Park. They have the freedom to roam as they please there and you may or may not see them. The best chance of seeing them is early in the morning or later in the day. This one just happened to be caught in good light as the sun was setting. Thank you for sharing part of my adventure, Nava Thompson Quick Facts: In the U.S., the White-tailed deer is the state animal of Arkansas, Illinois, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina.
