Redemption is Sweet
For Ron Baransky of Oak Hills Park Golf Club, 2016 was a year of sweet redemption.
Baransky, who has finished runner-up five times in the Men’s Club Championship, finally
captured his first Men’s Club Championship crown. Not only did Baransky take the Men’s
title in 2016, but he also captured his first Senior Club Championship. Baransky used a
10&9 victory over two time defending champion Marchant Devilliers en route to his first
Men’s title; “this victory was extra special to me after pushing so hard to win for so many
years… Capturing both the Men’s and Senior Club Championship in the same year is an
accomplishment I am extremely proud.”
