Edit Your Book
with Ciara
Considine
We are delighted to present the Hard
Rain SoloistEnsemble programme for
2017. As Ensemble In Residence at the
Crescent Arts Centre, the ensemble is
devoted to the performance of modern
and contemporary music.
This year’s programme brings you a
diverse range of music and is, more
than ever, a celebration of the
innovation and creative talent that
exists on our very own doorstep.
Here is what is in store for you:
The Irish Writers Centre is delighted to
present Edit Your Book with Ciara
Considine in association with the
Crescent Arts Centre. Editing your own
work can be a punishing process and
can become event more complicated
when an editor begins to request
changes. This one-day course will
show you have to edit a work-inprogress whilst providing an overview
of editing, design and publicity
processes.

Rayna Gellert
Moving on Music are delighted to bring
to the Crescent Arts Centre the
acclaimed Old Time American fiddler
and singer-songwriter, Rayna Gellert.
A renowned fiddle player and member
of the acclaimed stringband Uncle Earl,
Rayna has deep roots in American
traditional music that has led to her
collaborating with artists such as Sara
Watkins, Abigail Washburn and Loudon
Wainwright III.
Rayna will be visiting the Crescent as
part of her tour. She will be joined on
stage with multi-instrumentalist Kai
Welch (Abigail Washburn; Bobby Bare
Jr.) and drummer Jamie Dick
(Rhiannon Giddens; Joan Shelley) as
they perform a mix of original songs
and traditional fiddle tunes in what
promises to be an exceptional night of
old and new roots music.
