homework, we could sleep more. More sleep would help us remain alert and engaged in class, be more productive, and have the energy we really need. Lastly, if this keeps going on, then students become more disengaged and experience feelings of failure. Teens have been found to be more depressed. They begin to express negativity and have low self-esteem. Not only teens but kids in middle school as well have been feeling this way. The feeling of failure can make a student’s grades fall. Education is very important, but if students feel stressed, then schools need to find a way to improve their well-being. Let's end the cycle of falling behind in class, lack of sleep, and feeling like a failure. It’s a very important element of student success. In a country where poverty and unemployment continue to be problematic, that seems to be just what we need, and what we clearly aren’t receiving. Schools all vary widely based on funding, community, but most importantly, the quality of the teachers that are employed there. The best teachers make connections with their students because they are passionate about what they’re doing. Sadly, most teachers are underpaid and over-worked. Their degrees in teaching have saddled them with enormous debt and they’re using their meager salaries to pay off their student loans. It’s the students who ultimately suffer.
