Smart Weft, the dedicated development team at
Vivica Fox went right on to developing the next
big thing—the Cornrow Cap. After extensive
customer research the Vivica Fox team decided to change
pace for a moment and made a product that would help fill
a gap in the braiding and weaving industry.
What are you to do if you love the look of braids and
weaves but don’t have the hair to attach it to? Maybe your
hair is too short, or braiding and weaving has left your hair
stressed. Luckily those issues are a thing of the past. We
spoke with Executive Managing Director, Harry Moon,
who said that even they were shocked by reactions to the
product. In three days their Facebook post had reached 2
million views, causing the post to be temporarily blocked.
“This cornrow cap is something very different,” Moon
explained. One of the many benefits of the cap is its
range of use and size. The durable cap is made with extra
elasticity for a better, more secure fit and comes in three
sizes. It’s fitted with two combs but also has sections for
attaching polyurethane to be used with tape for those who
have little to no hair.
It’s also a perfect way to make your protective styles
even more protective—adding hair whether by sewing,
gluing, or braiding still stresses your hair and can cause
sever damage. For the winter in particular, a cornrow cap
is ideal for protecting already stressed locks.
The team behind the line notes that this is also great
for hair stylists looking to save time and money. Doing
cornrows manually takes a lot of time, and as the Vivica
Fox team explains, “It is very critical for salons to manage
the schedules between customers and stylists.” When used
