“ I don ’ t have enough words to express the loss I feel but I want to share some information about Stuart Ing that his friends and family might not know . Stu and 3000 other lawyers belong to a National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys . Many of us across the country participate in an internet email listserve where we ask other lawyers questions about legal issues . Stuart was a gifted lawyer and a true scholar of bankruptcy law . He freely gave endless hours of his time answering questions and helping other lawyers with their problem cases . His answers were well reasoned and reliable . Based on his wide experience he often provided the common sense solution that so often evaded us and our complex discussions . He helped me and countless others , many of whom only knew Stu through bankruptcy conventions and the internet . We were not as close to him as you , his family and friends , are , but he was widely respected as a mentor and a friend by us all , and most importantly we saw his strength as an advocate for his clients - people who were unable to fight for themselves . His legacy is proud and strong among his peers and we hope that provides some solace to you in your loss . Stu will be sorely missed .”
