NEW Kilmarnock Campus Official Opening

OUR NEW KILMARNOCK CAMPUS ON HILL STREET OPENED TO STUDENTS ON 24 OCTOBER 2016 , AND WAS OFFICIALLY OPENED BY FIRST MINISTER NICOLA STURGEON MSP ON 12 DECEMBER 2016 .
The First Minister was shown around the four-storey campus by College Principal , Heather Dunk , and Chairman , Willie Mackie .
She was impressed with what she saw on her first visit to the campus .
The £ 53m campus provides an innovative learning environment for our students , with brand new equipment throughout the building .
The First Minister said “ Colleges are vital to our economic growth and success . Our nationwide investment in colleges in support of the major reform programme , coupled with our Modern Apprenticeship Programme , is helping to reduce unemployment among young people , and at this critical point in their lives , giving them meaningful aspirations for their futures .
“ I met with students and Modern Apprentices who have been in the campus since October , and their enthusiasm for their chosen field is palpable .
“ This demonstrates how a modern , fit-for-purpose campus and its facilities can truly inspire learning .”
